Quick Vietnamese Sizzling Green Beans With Soy Sauce & Garlic

These savory and tasty green beans were super easy to make with just a few pantry staples from your kitchen!

I just quickly blanched some fresh green beans, ice dunked them, then tossed them in little sesame oil, garnished them with Thai red chili peppers (I ordered these online at @umamicart), toasted sesame seeds, and minced garlic and then dressed it with some light soy sauce.

For the finishing touch- I drizzled some smoking tea seed oil for that HOT SIZZLE!

1 lb Green beans

1/2 tsp salt

Aromatics:

3 garlic gloves (minced)

1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)

1/2 long sweet chili pepper

1 scallion decorated sliced

1-2 tsp sesame oil

Marinade Sauce:

2 tablespoon light soy sauce

Sizzling oil:

2 tablespoons YOU YOU (or neutral oil)- Smoking (POUR ON TOP OF BEANS)

PREPARATION

1. Heat up medium pot of water with 1/2 tsp salt. Blanch green beans 1 min, transfer beans to ice bath for 1 min, then drain completely.

2. Heat up 1-2 tsp sesame oil. Toss green beans in for a few seconds (just enough to evenly coat all the beans and warm them up slightly) then transfer beans onto a clean plate.

3. Pour light soy sauce over all the green beans.

4. Top green beans with garlic, red chili pepper, and scallions.

5. Heat oil over high heat until smoking. Then pour hot oil over aromatics on green beans.
